Those who love animals, not just primates, are saddened by the news. On the past 1st of October, Dr. Jane Goodall left us, a role model for everyone.
A person that arrived in Tanzania, at a very young age, to study Gombe’s chimpanzees, and that has greatly contributed to the science and conservation of chimps, and overall, to great apes. She didn’t settle for this, as many other scientists and professionals do. She didn’t stop climbing steps: changing the conditions of primates and other animals in laboratory settings, bringing stances together and knowing the work of zoos in conservation, creating groups worldwide to help the environment, and travelling for over 300 days a year (even at her 91 years of age) to share the message of protection of the environment, respect to the animals under human production, and many other causes too great to detail.
We share a picture of Jane’s brave and pioneer era, as well as one of her current incombustible dame that shared hope and passion, and lastly, a picture of her with SOS primates.
We send a big hug to the @Instituto Jane Goodall España, where we have great friends with which we have enjoyed talks and companionship.
Today, all chimpanzees are orphans, and for us, the world has lost a great protector. Rest in peace.
