As you may know, at SOS Primates, we continue our efforts to send work equipment—primarily uniforms and gloves—from Barcelona to various primate rehabilitation centers and other wildlife facilities.
The Zoo de Barcelona provides this unused material in good condition so that the caregivers of these centers can reuse it.
At our NGO, we deeply value the work of animal caretakers, not only because some of us have worked—or currently work—in this job but also because the well-being of any animal species depends on the working conditions and motivation of its caregivers. Having the right equipment is crucial for this crucial work.
We are grateful to Alejandro Cabrera from the Conservation Department of the Zoo Aquarium de Madrid, who transported 23.3 kg of materials to Madrid and delivered them to a representative of PASA Primates: Pan African Sanctuary Alliance. Said material was then sent to South Africa, where it was distributed among the PASA Primates-affiliated centers and sanctuaries. The, comprising African sanctuaries, is dedicated to ensuring that all its members operate under optimal conditions, thus enhancing the care and rescue of primates.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to PASA and all those involved for their kindness and altruism in supporting these centers and the primates they shelter. None of this would be possible without the donations from the Barcelona Zoo and the tireless efforts of SOS Primates volunteers who coordinate and prepare the materials.

If you have plans to visit any wildlife centers and would like to assist by bringing uniforms or other materials, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@sosprimates.org.
Thank you for being supportive!
