Today we thank the Darwin Marmoset and Tamarin Sanctuary, in Barcelona, for sponsoring the chimpanzee Shabunda through the SOS Primates sponsorship program.

This donation, as well as the more than 50 godmothers and godfathers that we currently have, is a great support to fund the nourishment expenses of the more than 200 orphan primates that live in the CRPL, Lwiro Primates, in the DR Congo.

Darwin is a Marmoset and Tamarin Sanctuary where exemplars of these small primates are rescued, rehabilitated, and introduced into social groups due to the illegal marketing of species and the false idea that primates can be domesticated.

Darwin collaborates with multiple protection initiatives directed by its founder and director, Montserrat Ubach, which aim to help not only primates but also other species.

You can visit their website and sponsor one of its little ones at https://darwin.cat/
