One of the many ways to support SOS Primates is by receiving different products related to animal conservation and respect for the environment in exchange for a donation. Some of these items are made by Congolese locals living in the areas surrounding Lwiro Primates, the centre our organisation directs most of our support to. Others have been made thanks to the selfless support of companies and people in Spain. We invite you to take a look at the catalogue, and if you’re interested in any of the items you can get in touch with us on en info@sosprimates.org.

Dolls

Since its founding, SOS Primates has supported the Heri Kwetu Centre for Disabled People, in the capital of Kiva Sur province, Bukavu. Sister Teresa Sáez de la Compañía de María has created a centre where she provides medical, academic, employment and emotional support to many people who ask for it, especially the people who are struggling most. The centre takes in orphan children as well as disabled women who are victims of war, mines and illnesses like polio and rubella, which are non-existent in our country thanks to vaccination.

These women handmake beautiful dolls out of African fabric, and use them to fund their women’s project and also support Lwiro Primates, their educational centre, their football academy and a public health programme. You have a wide range of dolls to choose from, and by ordering one you are not only contributing to wildlife conservation, but also to a population severely affected by war.

The photo only shows a sample doll, so bear in mind that as they are handmade out of different fabrics, the colour may vary on the real product.

Congolinas

Congolinas, handmade by the women of the Heri Kwetu Centre, are another example of charitable crafts. Made with African fabric, they represent Congolese women, who carry their babies on their back while they work and are the motor of the economy. The base is signed by the doll’s creators. There are four sizes, which you can see by clicking the link in the caption of the photo, as well as a keyring version. There are also congolinos (male versions).

T‑shirts

Our t‑shirts are made in Spain with the selfless support of many people, for example the image of the model Belén Matheu, and thanks to them many primates will be given a second chance. The t‑shirts are unisex with short sleeves, and available in five different sizes (S, M, L, XLXXL).
Click on the link in the caption of the photo for the exact measurements for each size.
