This week, SOS Pri­ma­tes had the honour of atten­ding a spe­cial tri­bu­te to Dr. Jane Goo­dall at the Bar­ce­lo­na Bar Association.

The event brought together repre­sen­ta­ti­ves from public ins­ti­tu­tions and govern­ment, the Jane Goo­dall Ins­ti­tu­te, resear­chers, uni­ver­sity lec­tu­rers, stu­dents, sup­por­ters, and a num­ber of con­ser­va­tion orga­ni­za­tions, inclu­ding SOS Pri­ma­tes.

It was a pri­vi­le­ge to cele­bra­te the extra­or­di­nary legacy of a scien­tist who trans­for­med our unders­tan­ding of pri­ma­tes and ins­pi­red gene­ra­tions of conservationists.

Beyond her ground­brea­king research, Dr. Goo­dall is a huma­ni­ta­rian, ani­mal wel­fa­re advo­ca­te, foun­der of the Jane Goo­dall Ins­ti­tu­te, a Uni­ted Nations Mes­sen­ger of Pea­ce, reci­pient of the Prin­ce of Astu­rias Award, and abo­ve all, a tire­less cham­pion for a bet­ter world.
