SOS Pri­ma­tes was foun­ded to sup­port CRPL, Lwi­ro Pri­ma­tes in the Demo­cra­tic Repu­blic of the Con­go, whe­re most of our fun­drai­sing efforts are direc­ted. Howe­ver, as we know, pri­ma­tes around the world face serious threats, which is why each year we also dedi­ca­te a spe­cial cam­paign to sup­port con­ser­va­tion pro­jects in other countries.

Our 2025 “This Year We Sup­port…” cam­paign bene­fi­ted the Jaguar Res­cue Cen­ter in Cos­ta Rica and was an incre­di­ble suc­cess, rai­sing €5,699.24.

Thanks to funds rai­sed through our calen­dars, Christ­mas lot­tery, and SOS­li­da­rio raf­fles, we were able to make this dona­tion, which will help cover food costs for the more than 1,000 wild ani­mals res­cued by the cen­tre each year, as well as the per­ma­nent resi­dents that can­not be relea­sed back into the wild.

The Jaguar Res­cue Cen­ter con­ti­nues its outs­tan­ding work by res­cuing, reha­bi­li­ta­ting, and relea­sing wild­li­fe, pro­tec­ting pri­mary rain­fo­rest, insu­la­ting elec­tri­cal infras­truc­tu­re to pre­vent pri­ma­te elec­tro­cu­tions, and inves­ting in local com­mu­ni­ties and envi­ron­men­tal education.

In 2019, our pre­si­dent, Raúl Cabre­ra, spent three weeks at the Jaguar Res­cue Cen­ter, wor­king along­si­de its Direc­tor, Encar Gar­cía, assis­ting with wild­li­fe res­cues and even taking part in the relea­se of a reha­bi­li­ta­ted sea turtle.
