We would like to express our gra­ti­tu­de for the invi­ta­tion to par­ti­ci­pa­te at the onli­ne (and free) con­fe­ren­ce orga­ni­sed by Dar­win Foun­da­tion and SOS Pri­ma­tes„ under the pro­gram “Les tar­des de Dar­win I SOS Pri­ma­tes” titled “Pro­yec­to Tití, Colom­bia!” by Rosa­mi­ra Gui­llén, direc­tor of the Titi Pro­ject Foun­da­tion, which took pla­ce the past 11th of June online.

This orga­ni­sa­tion leads the con­ser­va­tion of cot­ton top tama­rins, a spe­cies that only resi­des in Colom­bia and for which they have achie­ved the reas­sess­ment of the spe­cies’ sta­tus to Cri­ti­cally Endan­ge­red and the pro­tec­tion of over 5,000 hec­ta­res of tro­pi­cal dry forest. The orga­ni­sa­tion works with a holis­tic approach that invol­ves local com­mu­ni­ties, refo­res­ta­tion and envi­ron­men­tal edu­ca­tion to fight their extinction.
