Ways to support us

There are different ways of supporting us – choose the one which suits you best or contact us on info@sosprimates.org with any suggestions you may have. For example, for just €1 a month you can become a teamer – this is also deductible from your Tax Return. From €5 a month you can adopt a chimpanzee, with your donation going directly to the animals in greatest need of help.

If you don’t want to commit to a monthly payment, you can make a one-off donation into our account ES06 3025 0001 1414 3348 7632, putting the reference as “your name + donation”. We would love to thank you personally, so if you send us an email and tell us about your donation, we’ll be able to get in contact with you.

We also create a fundraising calendar every year, and for the last two years we’ve also organised a Christmas raffle. You can get your calendar and/or raffle ticket and even help us to distribute them if you like.

There are so many ways to help – the decision is yours. We’ve also suggested some options below, but if you have an idea that isn’t written here, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Our door is always open to future projects.

Please bear in mind that:

  • SOS Primates is a non-profit organisation whose team is entirely made up of volunteers.

  • We don’t have a physical office or phone number, so we can’t call you. All communication with us is via our email.

  • We don’t offer work contracts or work experience.

  • We’re volunteers, so sometimes it may take a while for us to get back to you. We ask you to be a bit patient, as we will reply as soon as possible. Make sure to check your spam to ensure you receive our response.

SOS Primates is a non-profit organisation, so it doesn’t receive any economic support. Every penny raised through our activities goes straight to Lwiro Primates. We look for grant programmes we can participate in and present our organisation in order to raise funds and send them to Lwiro Primates.

Since 2020 we have started to collaborate with other rescue centres, and in time we’d love to expand the umbrella of places we support.

Do you want the most special day of your life to also be the most charitable? At SOS Primates we have some beautiful crafts, handmade in the Democratic Republic of the Congo: gifts for guests, a Congolese bride and groom for the wedding cake and many other details to add an extra special touch to your wedding.

We believe that future generations are, as the name suggests, the future of our planet. They are who will be left behind when we are no longer here, and they will retain and pass on the values we’ve taught them.

Since 2018 we have given talks at schools with the aim of teaching students to be aware about caring for primates and biodiversity in general. If you would like us to give a talk at your school, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Our organisation carries out charity raffles, with the prizes prepared by us, very often with materials you donate to us for the occasion.

If you have materials related to primates (posters, stickers, drawings, books, stuffed toys, masks or figurines) or anything else you don’t use anymore that you think could be of use to us, don’t hesitate to let us know. We’ll find a way to collect it.

We search for places we can set up our stand and our merchandise. If you’re organising an event and you’d like to invite, send us an email.

If you know of any fairs we could attend, don’t hesitate to share it with us. In this case we would appreciate it if, in advance, you contact the organisers of the event in question to confirm we would be able to attend.

If you have an establishment, business or veterinary clinic, you could have one of our donation boxes and help us to raise money. We’ll make sure it gets to you and collect it when you ask us.

If you don’t have an establishment, but you want to help us by collecting from your family and friends, don’t hesitate to ask us for your own donation box J. You can also make your own donation box if you like.

If you’re good at arts and crafts and you want to help us, you can donate them to our organisation. We can use them to raise money for Lwiro Primates. You can make whatever you want: bracelets, keyrings, pendants, earrings, bookmarks, magnets, purses, crochet… whatever you think of, your imagination is the limit!

If you’re a professional artist and you can’t donate your products, but you want to help us, you can also donate a portion of the profits to our organisation.

In exchange for a donation, you can get one of the products from our catalogue of charity merchandise that you’ll find on our website.

You can also help us by spreading the word about our work through our crafts. If you want to have them in your establishment don’t hesitate to get in contact with us. We’ll make sure they get to you and will collect the donations when you ask us to.

In the digital age, sharing helps us to cross borders and reach more people. You can follow us via our website and Facebook and Instagram pages, and share our posts. The more there are of us, the better.

Every so often, SOS Primates organises charity raffles with a basket of prizes we prepare ourselves, very often with material you donate to us for the occasion. The winning number is the same as the winning number for the “Sorteo de la ONCE” (Spanish National Lottery).

Every number is a €1 donation. The result of the raffles is posted on our website and Facebook and Instagram pages.

Our goal is to be able to share our work on a national and international level. For this reason, we want to translate our website into different languages. If you know English, French, German or another language get in touch with us. We’ll make sure you get the texts that need to be translated.

SOS Primates sends products all over Spain via Correos (postal service), always trying to make the shipping as affordable as possible for you. However, on many occasions the product is something large, meaning the shipping gets more expensive.

If you’re a courier or you have a transport company and you want to help us with our deliveries, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

If you often travel by car or another method of transport for work or personal reasons and you think you can help us in this way, please send us an email.
