Kyungu, the baby rescued this week, is finally at the CRPL. She was saved by the rangers of Maiko National Park when poachers were trying to illegally sell her. She is about 8 months old (you can tell by her teeth and size). We would like to thank the CRPL Lwiro Primates team for her rescue and those who have made it possible, Ushiriki consortium EDRC CAP Grauer’s gorillas and chimpanzees, ICCN, the Jane Goodall Institute and Gorilla Doctors.
If you want to help SOS Primates to continue to cooperate with the CRPL to rescue orphaned primates from bushmeat consumption and illegal trade, become a team member for only 1 euro/month.
