Today we encourage you to take part in the online activity in which you can discover the novel La Bruma Verde, by Gonzalo Giner, which won the Fernando Lara Novel Award of 2020. It is organised by La Casa Encendida, in Madrid.
The author addresses the environmental problem focusing on Africa, inspired by female primatologists including Rebeca Atencia, Carme Vidal, Itsaso Vélez del Burgo and Laia Dotras (co-founder of SOS Primates), to whom he dedicates the book.
The novel is based on the socio-ecological problems that plague the DR Congo, where it is set, and you will be able to meet several of the workers of the CRPL, Lwiro Primates, including its veterinarian Luis Flores, as well as many of the primates housed there. We are very proud that the author has mentioned the work of SOS Primates alongside other organisations fighting to save our closest relatives.
