Next September 1st is International Primate Day #InternationalPrimateDay, #DiaInternacionalPrimates, institutionalised in 2014 by several Latin American primatology associations, with the aim of reflecting on the threats faced by different species and calling for their conservation.

SOS Primates has been celebrating it since 2017 and in 2019 held a competition to create a logo and give it more visibility.

On the weekend of 28th and 29th of August, we will have an information stand at Barcelona Zoo, Madrid Zoo Aquarium, and Zoobotánico Jerez on Saturday 28th. In all of them, we will collect donations and there will be products to help the CRPL, Lwiro Primates, in DR Congo.

Some of the activities for this weekend are Storytelling and a T‑shirt workshop in Barcelona or an informative talk in Jerez. We are waiting for you!

Bili and Tetemeko, in the photo, will be waiting in Congo to see how the day goes.

(If you work in a zoological institution with primates, be it a zoo, a sanctuary or a rehabilitation centre that follows international regulations, please contact us so that we can be present next year).
