Today SOS Pri­ma­tes was in the Sant Mar­tí dis­trict, in Bar­ce­lo­na. We had a stand at La Fes­ta dels Ani­mals with infor­ma­ti­ve mate­rial and hand­crafts made in DR Con­go. We were able to hand out infor­ma­tion, rai­se awa­re­ness and collect dona­tions for more than 200 orpha­ned pri­ma­tes that live at the CRPL, Lwi­ro Pri­ma­tes. We want to thank the orga­ni­sa­tion for coun­ting on us, espe­cially Ros­se­mary, tho­se of you who came by and our volun­teers: Núria, Anna and Èlia.

Yes­ter­day another baby chimp arri­ved at the cen­tre, but we’ll tell you more about her tomo­rrow. We beat all records this year, which is very sad. Baby chimps need a lot of care and beco­me adults like Sue­na, in the pho­to. They have a lot of nutri­tio­nal requi­re­ments that increa­se the annual spen­ding of the centre.
