Today we share these sad images of a new confiscated baby chimpanzee that arrived at the CRPL, Lwiro Primates, two days ago. She was in a village weeping inconsolably. Babies like her need to be in their mother’s arms and have contact. The voice you hear is trying to soothe her and telling her not to be upset, but what this little orphan is asking for is someone to hold her. She is the third baby in ten days, so you can imagine that at least fifteen adults have died from being consumed as bushmeat.
All of this takes a toll on the feeding expenses at the CRPL, so we urge you to help us. On the SOS Primates website, you have many options to collaborate that fit all possibilities, from 1 euro to donating your times.
