Yesterday we wrapped up the SOSlidary 2022 calendar campaign as we sent out the last order. As we told you, we collected a total of 2,007.34 euros in donations for Lola ya Bonobo Sanctuary , Friends of Bonobos, in DR Congo. We have surpassed the number of calendars distributed in 2020 thanks to our teams and people who ordered theirs from far away places like the United States or Australia.

The board of SOS Primates knows first-hand how good of a job they do in the bonobo sanctuary. Raúl Cabrera joined by our volunteer Sandra Rouco, primate specialist caretaker in the Zoo Aquarium of Madrid, were there helping for 2 weeks with various tasks: food preparation, observation tasks for different groups and many others. All that with special emphasis on the environmental enrichment for a bonobo recovering from surgery. In the photo, from left to right: Sandra, Fanny Minesi (executive director of the sanctuary), Raphäel Belais (veterinary), Claudine André (founder of the sanctuary) and Raúl.

Soon we will tell which primate rehabilitation centre for which we will be collecting donations through the 2023 calendar.

Thanks, everyone!
