#WorldChimpanzeeDay

Today is Chimpanzee World Day, and in SOS Primates we want to highlight the efforts made so that they don’t disappear from Earth.

In the first place, the labour from African recovery centers and sanctuaries, which shelter hundreds of orphans each year (like the CRPL, Lwiro Primates, in the photo).

In the second place, scholars, that study them in their natural habitat or under human protection.

Also, it’s highly important the work of NGOs like ours of raising awareness of people and Zoological centers who follow strictly international regulations for their conservation.

Last but not least, we thank you, who can make so many contributions from your home. Just to give an example, when the climate is very hot, you can adjust the air conditioner so that it releases fewer greenhouse gasses, and therefore Earth’s global temperature diminishes. Also, you can close the windows or doors of your home, shops, and shopping centers. Though we understand the COVID situation, we believe it’s necessary to open the windows for a certain time, but not always.

Do it for them.

From SOS Primates, we’ll continue raising awareness of people about our work and other actions they can make this Saturday (16–07-2022), in the Barcelona Zoo and the Zoo Aquarium of Madrid.

We’ll be waiting for you!
