July 14th marks #WorldChimpanzeeDay, an occasion established by Dr. Jane Goodall to draw public attention to the plight of chimpanzees in their native habitats.

The NGOs dedicated to primate conservation, ourselves included, seize this day to raise awareness, educate about the threats these creatures endure, and collect donations to support recovery centers. In our case, we contribute to the CRPL, Lwiro Primates, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which provides refuge to over 100 orphaned chimpanzees like Suena, pictured.

That is why today we have been present at the Madrid Zoo Aquarium with our volunteers María, Natalia, and Marisa, and tomorrow we will be at the Barcelona Zoo.

We invite you to greet us and learn about our work, with engaging activities planned for the younger visitors.
