The project surrounding the CRPL, Lwiro Primates, is a Community Conservation Programme because it helps both the animals and the local people. Coopera ONGD. Jóvenes para la Cooperación Internacional al Desarrollo, based in La Rioja, runs various development and humanitarian aid projects, with the aim of consolidating resilient communities and especially empowering women. The “Ecolo-Femmes/Kabare” Platform, created by Coopera in 2016, has manufactured masks to sell at an affordable price to the population and thus curb the coronavirus. Also, 100 masks have been donated to the eco-guards of the Kahuzi Biega National Park so that they can continue to protect our biodiversity while protecting themselves.
We at SOS Primates are doing our bit, thank you all!
