In any institution that houses animals, communication among staff is extremely important, whether between keepers, veterinarians, maintenance, security, managers, or others. A few months ago, the Barcelona Zoo donated all of its intercom equipment (walkie-talkies) to SOS Primates for technical and improvement reasons. Our NGO found a second life for them at a primate rehabilitation [...]
On International Women's Day, we want to honor all the women who give their all for primates—not only at CRPL, Lwiro Primates, but across all primate rescue centers, sanctuaries, research units, caregivers, veterinarians, volunteers, ethologists, and, of course, our SOS Primates volunteer team who make it possible for aid to reach the Democratic Republic of [...]

As you may know, at SOS Primates, we continue our efforts to send work equipment—primarily uniforms and gloves—from Barcelona to various primate rehabilitation centers and other wildlife facilities. The Zoo de Barcelona provides this unused material in good condition so that the caregivers of these centers can reuse it. At our NGO, we deeply value the [...]
As you know, SOS Primates manages unused uniforms and other work materials that the Zoo de Barcelona donates to wildlife recovery centers. Our most recent shipment was sent to the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage Trust(CWOT), one of the oldest and largest chimpanzee sanctuaries in Zambia. Established in 1938 by David and Sheila Siddle, Chimfunshi spans 10,000 hectares of stunning [...]
