We're starting off the week with a new partnership, and we want to take this opportunity to remind you that if you have any suggestions of how to help us, you can let us know at info@sosprimates.org. Silvia Fernández founded Chikyhobbit in 2010, sewing felt brooches firstly by hand, and later using a sewing machine. [...]
We didn't want to let International Women's Day end without thanking all the women working on projects at SOS Primates, Lwiro Primates and many other conservation projects for their drive and tireless work. We also want to recognise many economies around the world, such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in which women carry [...]
It has been a very difficult few days at Lwiro Primates. One of the two infants rescued a few days ago died last night after arriving incredibly underweight and with clear signs of malnutrition. SOS Primates is sending all our best wishes to the entire team at Lwiro, who work day and night to try [...]

She is also incredibly creative and creates many things for the organisation, including these bags made of reused advertisements, and the money [...]
Lwiro Primates are currently awaiting the arrival of another orphan infant chimpanzee. We hope everything goes well and that the infant arrives as calm and healthy as possible. There are only a few days left of our partnership with Dani Muñoz and his handmade signs. In order to make them he reuses pallets and personalises them with [...]
Here at SOS Primates we have many figurines handmade in the Democratic Republic of the Congo by a group of disabled women at the Heri Kwetu Centre. They make them from African fabrics and they represent the Congolese woman, carrying her baby on her back while working. There are also figurines of many beautiful animals [...]
SOS Primates doesn't have a physical centre where you can visit primates and adopt them. To see chimpanzees and other monkeys you would have to travel to Lwiro Primates in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. That's why it's a lot harder to raise money for the centre, which means we're constantly having to reinvent [...]
In a few weeks we'll be able to wear short sleeved t-shirts again. Do you have yours from SOS Primates yet? For a donation of €10 (shipping not included) you can get one. They're made in Spain and are excellent quality. Also, by ordering yours you'll be helping to feed the orphan primates at Lwiro [...]
The people who make running SOS Primates possible have in common a love for nature and primates, a desire to help and unshakeable altruism. Our colleague Silvia Nieto is an example of how you can help not only financially but also by offering your experience, knowledge or artistic abilities. Silvia is an illustrator and graphic [...]
